If you haven't hired a sports photographer before, here's exactly what working together looks like. No surprises, no fine print.
You reach out through the contact form, by email, or by phone. I respond within 24 hours, and we set up a quick call. Fifteen minutes is usually enough. I want to understand what you're trying to accomplish: a season package, a recruiting session for an athlete, brand content for a campaign.
This call is always free. No pressure, no pitch.
For athletic directors and coaches trying me out for the first time, I'll usually offer to shoot a free home game or scrimmage before any contract conversation. That way you see what coverage actually looks like with your athletes, your field, your style, no obligation either way.
Within a few days of our call, I send you a written proposal: what I'll shoot, what you'll receive, when you'll receive it, what it costs, and what use rights are included. Everything in plain language. Nothing buried in legalese.
If something doesn't fit, we adjust. The goal is a working agreement that's right for your program, not a templated package.
Once we're signed, we lock in dates, locations, and any logistics: credential requirements, parking, contacts on-site, sport-specific access. For season packages, we map the whole schedule up front.
A 50% deposit secures the dates. Final balance is due on delivery.
I arrive early, shoot the full event, and stay through to the moments after: celebrations, post-game handshakes, the quiet on the sideline. For game-day work, I'm typically shooting between 800 and 2,500 frames depending on the sport and intensity.
You and your team focus on the game. I handle the camera.
Edited gallery in your hands within 24 to 48 hours of the final whistle. I send you a private link to a clean gallery, browsable by event, with download access for the team, the school, or the family depending on your package.
Prints, framing, and digital downloads are available directly through the gallery for families and supporters who want them.
For season packages and retainers, this rhythm repeats. Shoot, edit, deliver, shoot again. By the third or fourth game I know your program, your athletes, your style. The photos get better. The turnaround stays fast.
The best client relationships I have are the ones that last for years.
